The portfolio gained a Worklog: the finished system does not tell enough of the story
Project cards show what I built. The Worklog also shows how: wrong turns, regressions, deployment decisions, security constraints and the details that do not fit into a CV.
Situation
The new 360-degree portfolio already represented my full-stack, cloud, infrastructure and AI work much more accurately, but six project cards could still show only the end state. In a real production system, the most interesting engineering often happens when something breaks, a second approach is needed or a release process has to be made safer.
Approach
I built a separate static Worklog layer into the portfolio. Entries are generated from monthly source files, are searchable and filterable by project, and each note gets its own canonical TechArticle page and sitemap entry. The content documents one hundred concrete engineering situations from January through September 2026 rather than publishing generic advice lists.
Outcome
The portfolio gained a 'how I work' layer alongside the existing 'what I built' view. The system remains static, so there is no new CMS or database, yet the Worklog is independently browsable and indexable by search engines. Real project screenshots are used where a proven asset already exists.
